That’s right—the owner of a business that specializes in mathematics education once failed. Despite struggling in high school, Lauren went on to have a “math epiphany” in college that she attributes to stronger intellectual self-confidence, a more developed frontal lobe, and the unmatched talent of Dr. Huang, one of her most influential professors at the University of Florida (go gators).
