At its core, our organization is rooted in the value of education, transparency of academic institutions, standardized testing fairness, and equal opportunity.

By receiving instruction at the Est Institute—even just once—students are automatically considered to receive any of our rolling awards and scholarships. No inconvenient deadlines, no application fees… just the year-round practice of recognizing and rewarding excellence when deserved.

Donations are accepted here.

The Marilyn Fischer Scholarship

  • This recognition is given to a high school junior or senior that demonstrates significant improvement in the area of mathematics or remarkable potential to contribute to the field of mathematics.

Outstanding College Essay Award

  • Every year, the Est Institute works with dozens of students on the common app and supplemental essays. One student will be selected to earn their money back (and then some) for exceeding expectations on one or more essays throughout the college application process.

Special Programs and Need-Based Grants

  • Are you a first-generation college student seeking assistance in your pursuit of higher education? The Est Institute wants to help.

Email lauren@estinstitute.org for ad hoc, need-based consideration. Please provide an overview that honors your upbringing or experience as a first-generation college student; describes the goals you have personally, academically, and professionally; and details how you will benefit from aid.

  • Studying abroad is an experience that broadens the horizons of young minds and exposes them to cultures that may differ from their own. However, studying abroad is expensive. This grant aims to alleviate part of the financial burden of study abroad programs.

This award is given out once per year. Email lauren@estinstitute.org as early as possible to express interest with a brief description of the program of study and why you wish to attend.

  • Forget everything you know about writing conventions. No more 5-7 sentence paragraphs; no more hook-background-thesis templates. Write something interesting and send it to lauren@estinstitute.org for consideration between 1 January and 31 December annually.

Special attention will be given to poetry.

  • To support youth hobbyist or amateur musicians, the Est Institute will award one “Song of the Year” to a piece of music created by a student in any genre. We will also fund and facilitate uploading the song to Spotify for public consumption, if desired.

Email a music file to lauren@estinstitute.org between 1 January and 31 December for consideration.
